Like any couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have their share of secrets. So it seemed like the ultimate invasion of privacy when Brad recently stumbled upon Angie sneakily checking his e-mail account! And it wasn’t the first time she’d stepped over the line. “Brad says Angelina is so insecure, he’s caught her going through his pockets on more than one occasion,” says a Pitt family insider.

But when Brad confronts Angie, she doesn’t exactly apologize. “She turns everything on its head and tries to make Brad the villain,” says the insider. “She accuses him of still being hung up on Jennifer Aniston and of not wanting Angie to see the e-mails he’s sending to his ex-wife.” Brad got so fed up after one recent fight, he called his sister, Julie, to vent. “Brad told her, ‘I’m done with Angie. I can’t put up with this anymore,’” says the insider.

But when it came time to talk to Angie, 32, about their future, Brad had a shocking proposal: Rather than splitting up, “Brad asked Angie to consider making their relationship an open one,” says a friend of hers. “His idea is that when they’re apart, he can be with other women and she can be with other people.”
