She lost custody of her sons on Oct. 1, but it didn’t put an end to Britney Spears’ bizarre behavior — or to her drug use. That night, after checking into LA’s Peninsula hotel, Britney and her entourage continued partying. Her mom Lynne tells Life & Style, “It’s hard,” when asked about how she’s dealing with what’s happening to Britney. “It’s really hard,” she repeats. And Brit’s sister Jamie Lynn tells Life & Style, “I really hope she gets better.”
Britney’s partying isn’t affecting just her state of mind — it’s also taking its toll on her formerly flawless figure. “She’s bloated, and she’s stopped working out,” says a friend. “She also starves herself for three days while drinking and doing drugs, and then when she comes down she binges on junk food.” Drug use may also be the reason Britney’s skin seems to have lost its luster. “It’s lifeless,” notes the friend.
Rehab may be the answer. “If Britney accepts that she needs help, she may be able to turn her life around,” says an insider. “Britney used to have the most amazing body. I know she can get it back.”
Sue Spears, Britney’s great-aunt, tells Life & Style, “We love Britney and pray she gets the help she needs.”
