The saga of Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson is the stuff country songs are made of. As Jessica, a newly minted Nashville star, publicly gushes about boyfriend Tony Romo, Tony's ex -- perhaps still bitter about their breakup -- is striking back by reportedly saying Jess has been looking "fatter" in photos.

What's Jess' response?

"I love and appreciate everything the good Lord has given me!" she tells Life & Style about her curves.

As for Carrie, 25, she won't publicly admit to a rivalry -- in romance or on the music charts. "I think anything that brings more recognition to the country music scene is great," she tells Life & Style of Jessica's new country career. "I'm all for it."

But a friend of the American Idol winner confirms that Carrie's been sniping at Jessica. "She agrees that Jess is attractive," says the friend, "but says she wouldn't want to be as 'buxom and top-heavy.'"
