At the SAG Awards, it's Sean, Meryl, Heath and Kate

It's Hollywood awards season, and last night it was the Screen Actors Guild's turn. No awards for best movie award, director, lighting, music or sets — just actors and actresses being recognized by their peers.

Sean Penn (Milk) won the SAG Award for Best Lead Male; Meryl Streep (Doubt) took Lead Female.

The late Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight) won for Supporting Male, and Kate Winslet (The Reader) took the Supporting Female award.

Other movie winners: Slumdog Millionaire (Ensemble) and The Dark Knight (stunt Ensemble).

The TV awards went to Paul Giamatti (John Adams), male actor, TV movie/miniseries; Laura Linney (John Adams), female actor, TV movie/miniseries; Hugh Laurie (House), male actor, drama series; and Sally Field (Brothers and Sisters), female actor drama series.

Other TV winners: Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), male actor, comedy series; Tina Fey (30 Rock), female actor, comedy series; Mad Men (drama series ensemble), 30 Rock (comedy series ensemble) and Heroes (stunt ensemble).
