Jennifer Aniston had John Mayer to lean on when she finally came face-to-face with her rival, Angelina Jolie, at the Academy Awards on Feb. 22. Little did Jen know, though, that would be their last big date. The couple, who hooked up in April 2008 and have split twice before, have called it quits again.

But there's an upside to this latest breakup for Jen. "She and John are the new Jen and Brad," says the couple's pal. "Instead of everyone always talking about Jen and Brad, Jen is hoping her split with John will be the sore subject people focus on! It's a much easier 'heartbreak' for Jen to deal with."
