90210 star Shannen Doherty is mourning the loss of woman's best friend, her beloved German Shepherd Roamy, who was originally a stray.

"My dog died," Shannen told Life & Style at the opening of The Chandelier Room and The Living Room at the W Hoboken in New Jersey on April 23. "We had one last-ditch effort, dialysis, for my dog."

Roamy was one of Shannen's many pets and was known for swimming laps in the actress' pool. "He's attached to me at all times," she had said of Roamy. Shannen is a known animal lover. "They're my children without a lot restrictions," Shannen told Life & Style about her pets. " You know, in truth, I have nine kids. I have seven horses and two dogs."
