Jennifer Aniston's been pretty much on her own since she started filming the comedy The Baster in NYC in late March. As Life & Style has reported, she hasn't been hitting restaurants or clubs, instead spending evenings ordering room service and staying in her suite at the Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca. "She misses her house in Beverly Hills and her friends," says an insider close to her.

But on April 27, she nearly had some surprising company: The onetime love of her life, ex-husband Brad Pitt, was just blocks away! While Angelina Jolie was on the Brooklyn set of her upcoming thriller, Salt, Brad visited downtown Manhattan's Standard Hotel. He arrived via SUV around 12:30 p.m. to be photographed by Steven Klein for W magazine. "He was scruffy and messy-looking," says an eyewitness.
