Gladiators get an upgrade with jewels and studs that can work for day or night, says Hannelore Daniel, trend expert for Endless.com. "But beware of cheap versions that have the glue visible around the jewels." To prevent damage, store in a dust bag.

STRAPPY
These are shoes you'll wear 24-7, says Daniel. "Pair them with shorts at work, then with a dress at night." Look for styles that have soft, lined leather that won't cause blisters. To preserve their shape, keep them on a shoe tree.

BOOTIES
Once a basic, booties now come in every color, heel height and price and have cute details like cutouts, bows and ruffles, says Daniel. Look for high-end comfort features like a padded insole and leather lining to help feet breathe. Use a leather lotion (or even hand cream) to buff away scratches.
