Tony Romo shattered Jessica Simpson's world when he picked the day before Jess' 29th-birthday party in July to dump her. But that wasn't the last crushing blow he would deal her: Now the Dallas Cowboys quarterback has started dating Candice Crawford, a 22-year-old former beauty queen who's the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford. The new woman also happens to be a dead ringer for Jessica -- except that Candice is younger and, notes a friend of Jessica's, skinnier.

"Does it add insult to injury that this girl is younger and slimmer? Sure," says the friend. "Jess is just unlucky in love. That's her downfall."

Fortunately, lonely Jessica has a lot to distract herself with lately. She's currently overseas filming her new VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty, so Tony's new relationship isn't in her face. "She's buried herself in work and trying not to focus on the breakup with Tony," says the pal. "But the fact that this woman looks a lot like Jessica would bother anyone."
