John Larroquette, who is no stranger to acting in a courtroom, will be guest-starring on Law & Order: SVU. An insider tells Life & Style that he will play a controversial attorney in an upcoming episode airing this fall.

John is known for his Emmy Award-winning role on the NBC show Night Court, which ran from 1984 to 1992.

Law & Order: SVU premieres Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
