Jon: worst dad in America

Jon943.jpgIt's gotten to the point where Jon Gosselin doesn't even notice when his daughter's name is misspelled on a birthday cake. On Oct. 8, the day his twin girls, Mady and Cara, turned 9, Jon went to the Cupcake Café in NYC to pick up a cake for them. Mady's name was spelled incorrectly on it -- with two d's instead of one -- but Jon was apparently too busy posing with the cake for the cameras that had followed him into the store to realize it. "He had that cake in his arms for at least four to five minutes," store owner Ann Warren tells Life & Style. "He didn't notice that the name was misspelled."

Not that Jon is totally at fault. After all, while most fathers would order their children's birthday cake themselves, someone from a TV show placed this order, according
to multiple reports.

"There were at least 10 people involved in picking up this cake," Warren
says. Before Jon's arrival, "they checked with me to see if it was okay to film it." One of the people involved with filming told the Cupcake Café how to spell the girls' names.

"It's not that we don't make mistakes," Warren explains. "But in this case, it was the person who ordered it who gave us the spelling." Still, the fact that Jon didn't catch the incorrect spelling is stunning. "It's sad," says Warren. "My father would have remembered my name. Then again, "I'm only one of four children."
