Tiger Woods: comes out of hiding

1005tiger.jpgSince he crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a tree on Nov. 27, Tiger Woods has kept such a low profile, he hasn't been spotted once. Even as reports of his infidelity began piling up, the golfer stayed in hiding, releasing a few short statements on his Web site rather than speaking out about the reports himself.
Now those closest to Tiger reveal he's in the midst of planning a major comeback -- and his reclusiveness was part of the plan from the very beginning. Tennis star Roger Federer, Tiger's close friend, has spoken to the disgraced golfer and believes his pal is going to come back better than ever. "Tiger needs calm," Federer told French newspaper L'Equipe. "And soon he'll become the wonderful golfer we know again."
Until now, Tiger seemed wary of speaking to anyone about the fallout from his numerous alleged affairs. Last month, NBA legend Charles Barkley -- one of Tiger's most trusted confidants -- said he was unable to reach his friend, proving that the golfer's whereabouts were a mystery to even those closest to him.
Reports have placed Tiger everywhere from friends' homes in Florida and New York to various rehab facilities across the globe. "Tiger's advisers have told him to stay out of the limelight and use the time to really figure out why he's made the decisions he's made in regard to his marriage," an insider tells Life & Style.
