On-screen, Mob Wives stars Karen Gravano and Drita D'Avanzo seem to have ironed out their differences. But according to show insiders, the duo got into a physical fight so intense while shooting a scene for the VH1 series, the network has yet to determine whether to include the footage in the season finale, which airs on June 26. Karen tells Life & Style exclusively why her relationship with Drita may be beyond repair.
Though their feud centers on Drita's incarcerated husband, Lee -- whom Karen dated from 1992 to 1998 -- Karen insists that a violation of the girl code is really the cause of their tension. "Lee was never the hang-up for me," Karen tells Life & Style. "After we broke up, I moved to Arizona. Within a couple of months, I got a call from a friend who said Lee and Drita were dating. Drita and I were friends for so long, she lived with me. She should've been the one to tell me, and I didn't hear it from her. That was just a slap in my face."
Although fans of the show will have to tune in to see if the brawl makes it into the season finale, Karen is clear about one thing -- she's no longer extending the olive branch. "I've tried to put everything on the table and have tried to tell Drita how I felt," Karen says. "I think that she keeps making excuses for it, and she's never going to say she did something wrong. Drita has an ego; she's trying to act like we weren't friends for years. If she's gonna lie about it, then how can I be friends with her? It's not worth it."
