Katy Perry hit Sin City over the weekend for her first U.S. red-carpet appearance since her split with Russell Brand, and she brought friends and family along. With 30 people in tow, including her younger brother David, Katy flew to Las Vegas on Friday night via private jet to attend friend Markus Molinari's charity event at 1Oak nightclub.
First, Katy and her crew enjoyed dinner at Stack restaurant, where the singer drank red wine and cheered on her friend Ferras during his acoustic piano and vocal performance. "She seemed to be in good spirits," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "She waved her napkin around and applauded. She high-fived Ferras once he finished."
After posing on the red carpet outside 1Oak with a $50,000 check for the GiveLove charity, Katy made a beeline into the club and kept a low profile at her table. Although fellow celebrities such as Scott Disick (sans Kourtney Kardashian), Paris and Nicky Hilton and Chris Evans were dancing and partying, Katy kept it low-key. She stayed seated and called it an early night, leaving before 2 a.m.
She ended up heading back to LA on Saturday afternoon, while her friends stayed for another night to celebrate the grand opening of 1Oak. Katy's BFF, Rihanna, was also in Vegas on Friday and had been rumored to be attending the party, but she opted to see Cirque du Soleil's Immortal show instead.
