Star Jones goes from host to guest on The View.
Nearly six years after the TV star left the show, she's set to make her big return. On Feb. 22, the former Celebrity Apprentice contestant will once again join her former co-hosts, including Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, on the hit ABC show.
Star's last appearance was on June 27, 2006, when she announced her departure "after much prayer and counsel."
The former host will join the ladies of the show in an effort to raise awareness of heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women, and discuss her involvement with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement.
And in honor of National Wear Red Day on Feb. 3, Barbara, Joy, Elisabeth, Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg will all wear red in support of the cause.
Star herself is close to the cause: She underwent successful open-heart surgery in March 2010 to repair a malfunctioning heart valve. Two months later, Barbara announced on The View that she'd also undergo open heart surgery.
Star's said, "Heart health has become my mission in life and my hope for tomorrow."
