Could there be a High School Musical reunion on Dancing With the Stars this season? Possibly!
After Corbin Bleu and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, wowed the crowd with their HSM-themed jive, the 24-year-old told Life & Style he’d love to see Zac Efron and his former Disney co-stars in the audience at some point.
“I really hope [Zac stops by],” he told the mag. “I don’t know at the moment.”
He added, “Everybody is obviously very busy, so it all just depends on scheduling, but I’m hoping to get everybody here!”
Though he still keeps in touch with Zac, who completed a secret stint in rehab five months ago, Corbin hasn’t spoken to the actor recently. “I’m not sure where he is, but I wish him the best.”
On Monday night’s show, Corbin and Karina scored a 26 out of 30 for their routine.
Carrie Ann Inaba loved the athleticism and musicality, while co-judge Bruno Tonioli called the routine “dazzling brilliance.”
So why did the pair decide to go the HSM route?
“I had to get it out of the way at the beginning and now we can show where we’re going,” he told Life & Style.
The first elimination was also held last night. The last three pairs standing were Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy, Bill Engvall and Emma Slater, and Keyshawn Johnson and Sharna Burgess. Keyshawn and Sharna ended up going home.
