The songstress exclusively tells Life & Style that she’s seen a few changes in her boss since he found out he’d be welcoming his first baby with girlfriend Lauren Silverman.
“He’s started to be on time, which is really weird,” Demi told Life & Style at an X Factor event in LA on Monday. “And he’s a lot more relax. He’s opening up a lot.”
But when it comes to being a father, the 21-year-old says, “He’ll be a great dad, definitely.”
Demi also joked about becoming a possible godmother to Simon’s little one.
“I don’t think I’m actually ready to be one by any means, but I think I just want to be able to say, ‘he hates that I’m the godmother to his child.’”
Lauren’s pregnancy was confirmed in late July. The duo refused to talk about the news for a few weeks — and that’s because she was still married to Simon’s friend Andrew Silverman. Andrew ended up filing for divorce from Lauren in mid-July after he found out about her affair with the X Factor creator.
Simon, 53, attended last night’s event with Lauren, 36, and he told us how “fantastic” life is at the moment.
“This has been one of my favorite years — even with all the stress and drama, it’s been incredible,” he told Life & Style. “I said to Lauren last night that I just can’t believe how much has been crammed into one year. I never thought I’d be a father. My dream was always to produce a movie and I’ve managed to do just that. Lots and lots of things happening. I’m enjoying it.”
