Katie Holmes is set to make her Broadway return in Dead Accounts in November — and now the star opens up to EW.com about the new venture.

"What audiences are going to get is something different every night," the 33-year-old says. "We are very lucky people."

Dead Accounts, a new comedy written by Smash creator Theresa Rebeck, is about a brother and sister with a secret $27 million. Katie will play Lorna, the sister.

"I'm really excited to be working with Theresa. I think her writing is wonderful because the characters are real and going through things that we as the audience really recognize," the actress says, adding, "I'm just really thrilled."

And the show's director Jack O'Brien is just as excited to have Katie on board.

"Katie Holmes, she's a multi-layered, very sophisticated young woman and I can't wait to see the results," he says.

As Life & Style previously reported, Katie’s been heading to rehearsals every day, sometimes using public transportation — like the subway!
