Khloé Kardashian made her big debut as co-host on last night’s The X Factor, but that didn’t mean there weren’t any issues leading up to the show!
A source tells Life & Style that just one day before she made her big co-hosting debut on The X Factor, the reality star couldn’t see — literally. During the first stage dress rehearsal — on Oct. 30 — with co-host Mario Lopez and the contestants, Khloé was visibly squinting while she tried to read the teleprompter from her mark on stage.

“She was full of energy and did a great job improvising even when she couldn’t make out the words on the teleprompter,” the source shares. “Mario was a total pro and covered for her whenever she was struggling.”
So what did production do to save the day?
“This led to a last-minute late-night visit to the eye doctor, who decided Khloé needed a new set of contact lenses,” the source tells Life & Style. “There was no way she could do last night's live show otherwise.”

But the show must go on and it did. Khloé and Mario seemed to impress the audience and TV viewers on their Oct. 31 live debut.
“Even though it’s been reported that Khloé is nervous about making her hosting debut, her performance in rehearsals shows no signs of butterflies,” another source tells Life & Style.
We spoke with big sister Kim Kardashian recently and she told us that she has no doubt her sister will be able to handle the gig.
“It’s what she’s really fit for,” Kim told Life & Style. “It’s a dream job, something that will fit her personality well. She’s very outgoing and outspoken so she will know how to handle it.”

And she certainly seemed comfortable enough on stage — especially with Simon Cowell. Throughout the show, Khloé kept referring to him as “sexy Simon,” which made the tough judge blush quite a bit!
