There’s really no engagement just yet!
After Kim Kardashian was spotted sporting a diamond ring on her pinky finger last week, many people speculated the reality star may have actually gotten engaged – but that’s not the case.
“It’s just a fab pinky ring,” Kim told Life & Style at Midori’s Green Halloween party, which she hosted in NYC on Oct. 27. “It’s from [jeweler] Lorraine Schwartz. Don’t read into it too much, too many rumors; it’s just a great ring. That’s it.”

Kim, who wore quite a mermaid getup for the Midori party, celebrated her 32nd birthday with beau Kanye West in Italy last week. Though friends close to the star, specifically Ryan Seacrest, hinted the pair may get engaged during their time there, Kanye has yet to pop the big question.
But when we recently chatted with Kim’s best friend, Jonathan Cheban, he admitted he does see an engagement with Kanye in her future.
“It would be great [if Kim and Kanye get married]!" Jonathan tells Life & Style. "She needs to get divorced first, though. When that guy [Kim’s estranged husband Kris Humphries] is done playing games, I guess she'll get engaged."
Oct. 31 will mark one year since Kim filed for divorce from Kris after 72 days of marriage. Coincidentally enough, Schwartz, who gifted Kim the pinky ring, also designed her engagement ring from Kris.
Six months after splitting with the NBA star, she began seeing Kanye.
“It’s so nice to have a best friend in this game who understands what you’re going through,” Kim says of her beau. “Being with someone I’ve known for years is comforting.”
