For the 16th season of Dancing With the Stars, pro dancer Kym Johnson will be sharing the inside scoop with Life & Style readers — a behind-the-scenes look at the show and the run of her celebrity partner, former General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher. In a post following their elimination last night, Kym talks about her experience this season, how she plans to relax, and why she'll miss finalist Kellie Pickler.
This season of DWTS has really amazing. Ingo and I took this competition week-by-week and our hard work really paid off. Never did we imagine that we would have made it so far as to secure a place in the semi-finals. Although our journey ended last night, I am so proud of Ingo. He has truly done an incredible job this season.
Now that we aren’t the running for the Mirror Ball trophy anymore, we've been doing a lot of press – which has actually been fun! We made a quick appearance on Good Morning America at 4 a.m., and then the rest of the day has been dedicated to getting ready for a quick trip to NYC - where Ingo and I will be making an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael.
Backstage at Dancing With the Stars with Kym Johnson, Week 9: I Can't Believe Ingo Rademacher and I Made It to the Finals
Our schedule still hasn’t slowed down one bit! After we get back to LA from NYC, we’re headed back to the dance floor for the live finale. When this is all over, I’m going to Australia for a week. I’m so excited to see my family. It’s going to be really nice and I can’t wait!
But before I can head Down Under, there's still a DWTS finale and I’m trying to place my bets on a winning couple – but I just can’t! It’s going to be a really tough finals. The four couples that are remaining are all very good, so it’s going to be tight! I don’t know if anyone has an idea of who’s going to win. It’s a tough call, but it’s going to be great fun to watch. That’s all I can say.

Not only did last night’s episode make me realize how remarkable my journey with Ingo this season has been, but it also gave me an opportunity to reflect on my DWTS career thus far. Last night we celebrated the 300th episode and literally, everyone was there. It's such an achievement and accomplishment.
I’ve had the most incredible experience doing this show and it’s brought me much happiness and success. There are just so many great moments and I feel lucky.
Words can’t express how grateful I am to have been a part of such an amazing season, with not only an amazing partner, but an amazing cast as well. Of course I’m going to miss Ingo, but I’m also going to miss talking with Kellie. She’s just adorable and so nice to be around. I’ve got a soft spot for her.
Lastly, I want to thank all of those who supported me throughout the season. Your votes and well wishes have meant everything to us!
See you at the finale!
