Lauren Conrad is rarely one to talk about her love life, but in the new issue of Allure, the former star of The Hills reveals how she met beau William Tell – and how she wasn’t expecting much to come from the date!
“I met my boyfriend on a setup,” the 26-year-old says. “I did not go with high hopes, though. What was nice about us is we both went in with preconceptions, but they were quickly broken.”
But luckily William, who is a law student and former guitarist for the band Something Corporate, is making the best-selling author feel enormously content.
“Oh yes, I am very happy right now,” she told Life & Style at the Susen G. Komen gala in LA on Oct. 13.
Love wasn’t the only topic Lauren discussed. Though the blond beauty does admit some scenes on The Hills, which she starred on from 2006 to 2009, were reenacted, she claims some parts were real – like her relationship with Brody Jenner.
“Brody [Jenner] and I did date. It was pretty brief. There was definitely editing to drag it out,” she says, adding, "I think the story they told wasn't a dishonest one, [but] the way they did it sometimes was.”
