Kris Humphries has taken another big step toward putting his disastrous 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian behind him -- the NBA forward has transformed the basement of his Minnesota house into a high-tech retreat in hopes of moving forward.
"Remodeling my place felt great," Kris, 26, tells Life & Style. "It was the perfect way to kick off the season and have a fresh start."
His new space, featured in the new issue of Life & Style -- on newsstands now -- was designed with the help of Jason Cameron and former NFL standout Tony Siragusa, the stars of DIY Network's Man Caves.
Kris and the DIY team chose custom furniture and added a massive state-of-the-art entertainment center. "He wanted a cool, modern space where he could hang out with his buddies and play video games or watch TV," Jason tells Life & Style. "Kris is a nice guy. You could tell he was ready to start a new chapter in his life."
"I look forward to spending my off-time here," adds Kris, who plays for the New Jersey Nets.
Tune in on Friday, Jan. 27 at 9 p.m. EST on the DIY Network to watch as Kris, Jason and Tony revamp, rework and reinvent Kris' home into a covetable Man Cave!
