Malin Akerman is signing onto a new role: Motherhood!
The actress, 34, is pregnant with her first child, a rep for the star confirms.
"We’ve talked about it and we're obsessed with kids, but we haven’t had time," the Watchmen star said in 2009 of herself and her husband, musician Roberto Zincone. "We're holding off for another year or two. I want to work a lot and have tons of films, and then take a break and enjoy my kids. That’s the way to do it.”
So are they stopping at one?
“I started wanting five,” the actress said. “And we're now down to two biological, and one adopted.”
The couple, who met while performing in the band the Petal Stones in 2007, will become parents in early 2013.
Malin, who was most recently seen in Rock of Ages alongside Tom Cruise, is currently filming the film CBGB, in which she plays Blondie front woman Deborah Harry. Roberto also landed a role in the same film, playing the band's drummer, Clem Burke.
