Sarah Jessica Parker is ready for a career makeover!
After six seasons on HBO and two theatrical movies, the Sex and the City icon is looking for roles other than her famous Carrie Bradshaw persona.
“I don't love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City,” the fashionista says in Elle’s Women in Hollywood issue.
Though she admits she loved playing Carrie, “I don't want to do the poor man’s version of her,” SJP confesses.
The 47-year-old plans to “look in the other direction” – and right now, she’s doing so by being guest-starring – and singing! – on Glee.

Playing a Vogue editor and mentor to Chris Colfer’s character, Sarah sang a mash-up of “The Way You Look Tonight” and “You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile” on the Sept. 27 episode.
