"I just got my first record contract with Sony, so we just started doing demo music this week. I'm totally stoked," she told Life & Style on March 21. "It's been so many dreams coming true for me!"
The actress, who first showed off her pipes on Broadway and now plays Ivy Lynn on Smash, says the album will be a mix of original material and covers. "It will have our own flavor to it. The stuff I like to do is jazzier and a little old-school R&B," she said at Duracell's Rely on Copper to Go for the Gold event in New York City.
Megan also said she'd love to tour, but now that a second season has been ordered, there may not be time.
