All's fair in love and war for Taylor Swift.
The 23-year-old songstress is InStyle UK's April cover girl and has a message for her former boyfriends.
"If I'm gonna write songs about my exes they can write about me," says the star, who's written countless No. 1 hits about her past relationships. "That's how it works."
Perhaps this is how Harry Styles will seek his revenge?
Earlier this week, Taylor allowed a source close to her to chat with Vanity Fair about her relationship with the One Direction heartthrob. The insider said he cheated on her — claims Harry's rep vehemently denies.
NEWS: Taylor Swift says she's dated only 2 people since 2010
In her interview with InStyle UK, she explains why she'll always choose hanging out with her female pals over her guy friends.
"I'm a girls' girl," the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer says. "I have guy friends but the problem with having guy friends is, like, I always get linked to them and they'll end up in a slideshow of people I've apparently dated on the Internet. I mean, there's all kinds of complicated things with having guys as friends."
As for her biggest fear? Ending up alone — which is why she's intent on remaining as down-to-earth as possible.
"I don't wanna end up being awful and intolerable. Alone. Laying in a marble bathtub by myself, like sad, with a glass of wine just complaining that my life ended up alone because I pushed everyone away because I thought I was too good to hand out with anybody," the “Red” songstress admits.
Adding, "The typical Hollywood sad cliché of the poor lonely starlet with no one because she put up all these walls and didn't trust anyone. That's my fear. And that's why I live my life the way I live my life because I'd so much rather feel everything than end up like that."
