‘Dance Moms’ Star Abby Lee Miller Has Completed Multiple Classes in Prison! (REPORT)

After five months in prison, Abby Lee Miller has a lot to show for her time behind bars! According to a new report, the Dance Moms alum has completed several courses since she began her 366-day sentence at the Federal Correctional Complex in Victorville, CA.

Us Weekly reveals that the 51-year-old finished a Release Preparation Program and received a certificate in personal finance on Dec. 15. She also reportedly passed her Adult Continuing Education class and earned a certificate for real estate. Plus, she revealed on Instagram that she “was given the opportunity to choreograph the Christmas show” at her jail and noted, “everyone is nervous but I know they are all going to be great.”

Abby, who pled guilty to fraud charges last year, has certainly turned things around since she first entered the facility on July 12. Life & Style previously revealed that she was struggling with her new reality. “She has these fits of hysterical crying. A very good friend of mine described it as ‘bats–t crazy crying,'” former Victorville inmate Holli Coulman shared. “She’s been cleaning the bathrooms, toilets, and showers. The staff shine flashlights in her face and make comments, and the inmates want to see her taken down a peg.”

The TV personality previously broke down when talking about her incarceration. “I’m afraid of being physically abused or raped,” she told People magazine in April. “I have to stay busy. If I thought about it every day, I’d just sit around and cry.”

Prosecutors were hoping Abby would get a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence after she was indicted for fraud in 2015 and charged with 20 counts in October 2016. The studio owner was accused of hiding more than $700,000 in earnings from her hit Lifetime show and other projects during Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in 2011.

“Throughout this case, Ms. Miller has taken both the allegations and the proceedings very seriously,” her attorney, Robert Ridge, said in a statement. “This has been a challenging time for Ms. Miller. She appreciates the words of encouragement and support from around the world.” He initially asked the court to grant his client probation and a small fine in lieu of jail time because of her status as a first-time offender.

“It’s a fact of life, I made mistakes,” Abby told podcast hosts Theo Von and Matthew Cole in September 2016. “I thought I was doing the right thing, I thought I had guidance. I thought I was on the up and up, and I wasn’t.” She added, “I think if I didn’t have a sense of humor and I couldn’t crack some jokes now and then I would have already gone insane.”
