<p><span></span>This morning, Abercrombie & Fitch released a statement asking <em>Jersey Shore</em>'s<strong> Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino</strong> to stop wearing A&F clothes.</p>
"We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image," the clothing company explained, adding that it will even pay the entire cast if it refrains from wearing the popular label.
Life & Style has learned that while Abercrombie is putting down the Situation, it's also making money off him!
"They sold a shirt that says GTL [which stands for gym, tan, laundry] on it!" a Jersey Shore insider tells Life & Style.
"The show made that expression famous. So basically they're making millions off of the Situation and the rest of the cast while also telling them not to wear their clothes. It's definitely not right."
Last year, A&F also sold a shirt with the humorous saying "Fitchuation" across it, a direct play on Mike's nickname on the MTV hit show.
