Alec Baldwin is getting ready to say goodbye to his fictional TV bigwig character, Jack Donaghy.
Alec along with Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski are currently filming the seventh and final season of the hit NBC show, 30 Rock. And according to the actor’s Twitter, there’s not much time left.
“30 Rock is nearly done,” he wrote on Oct. 29. “Hard to believe.”
Following his sad tweet, the veteran actor, who’s won three Golden Globes for his portrayal of Jack, made a huge statement.
“Of all the films, stage, TV I have done, 30 Rock has been the most fun,” the 54-year-old said, adding, “The character, the lines, the doing of it.”
The seventh season premiered earlier this month, and is said to have 13-14 episodes for its final season.
According to the show's creator and lead actress, Tina, 30 Rock, which has won six Golden Globes since its 2006 debut, would never have had as much success if Alec was not part of it.
“Our show would not have gotten on the air without you,” she directly said to Alec, who was honored by the Museum of the Moving Image in 2011. “It would not have remained on the air without you.”
We’re just as sad about the show’s ending. What are we going to do without Jack and Liz Lemon in our lives?!
