In the months prior to her arrest for reckless endangerment and possession on Thursday night, Amanda Bynes had become a nuisance to the residents of her building and to the staff.
"When Amanda first moved into the building, the doormen were incredibly protective of her," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "They intervened to keep reporters away and let Amanda set up shop in their lobby."

A month later, their patience had worn thin and it was ultimately the building staff who called the police on the starlet on Thursday evening.
One of Amanda’s closest friends also lives in the building. He told a pal he had to completely cut ties with her.

The Easy A star was arrested in her 47th street apartment around 7:50 p.m. last night. According to police, building staff called the authorities when she was seen smoking marijuana and rolling a joint in the lobby.
Officers arrived inside the apartment to find it filled with heavy smoke and drug paraphernalia. The 26-year-old immediately threw the foot-high bong out of the window. Thankfully, no one was injured.

She was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana.
Amanda was taken to Roosevelt hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and is expected to appear before a judge this morning. Side note: she hasn't been tweeting about it.
