Amanda Bynes has left rehab after five months of treatment.
Her mother’s attorney has confirmed that the actress is now recovering at her parents’ home in LA. Her mother, Lynn, will remain her daughter’s conservator.
The 27 year old had been forcibly hospitalized under a 5150 mental health evaluation hold after she allegedly started a small fire in the driveway of a stranger’s house in Thousand Oaks, Calif., on July 22. She was transferred to UCLA Hospital to continue treatment in August.
In Touch Weekly reports that Amanda settled back into normal life just before Thanksgiving. Amanda spoke to the mag and brought them up to speed on her progress.
“I am doing very well,” she told the mag on Tuesday. “I’m doing great, it’s been five days since I got out of rehab.”

On Dec. 1, an eyewitness spotted the former child star shopping at a mall near her parents’ home.
“She looks great!” an eyewitness tells In Touch. “She looks healthy and was very polite and friendly. She spent about $100.”
She was spotted again two days later with her father, Rick. The pair took a stroll around their neighborhood. “She was chatting away to her dad,” an observer notes. “They were deep in conversation.”
The statement from Amanda’s mom’s lawyer says the starlet has plans to look at “various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design.”
He adds, “Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”
