Jennifer Lopez surprised fans when she gave them a sneak peek of her new video “I Luh Ya Papi” during American Idol Thursday night.
What’s even more surprising is J.Lo pays tribute to one of her most iconic looks in the clip!
Everything old is new again for Jenny from the Block — right down to her famous plunging Versace dress at the 2000 Grammys, which has now been re-imagined as a pantsuit.
“We didn’t really even plan that,” Jen gushed to Life & Style after the show. (Hopeful Ben Briley was sent home.)
“It wasn’t like, ‘go get the outfit made!’ The stylist just bought it on the rack. I saw it and I was like, ‘What’s the jungle print doing there?’”
Little did Jen know the print made a comeback!
“She [my stylist] was like, “No, that’s in the stores right now.” So crazy! It just kind of worked out.”

The 44-year-old also dished on her preparation for the sexy new video – which features the stunner surrounded by a bevy of shirtless male models.
“I do let it go and then I’m like, ‘Oh, look! The video’s in three weeks I gotta get it together!’” she tells Life & Style.
“You gotta work out and watch what you eat. You gotta buckle down. It’s a job, but it is what it is.”
Speaking of jobs, her boyfriend Casper Smart isn’t featured in the video because he was too busy working!
“He was behind the scenes! He was the choreographer on the video, so he told the guys what to do,” beams the mother of 6-year-old twins Max and Emme. “It was a lot of fun.”
