Q: What's happening with you?
A: I'm on a radio tour performing my single "Desperate Girls and Stupid Boys," which is available now. The video was shot at Las Palmas, the first club I went to in LA with Ruben Studdard, and features my sister, my best friends and myself. My debut album, Without Regret, will be released on April 19.
Q: Are you still in contact with anyone from Idol?
A: I stay in touch with quite a few of my Idol peeps: Ruben Studdard, Justin Guarini, Blake Lewis, Kim Locke, Frenchie Davis and many others on Twitter and Facebook.
Q: What do you think of the new panel of judges?
A: I covered Idol as a host for the TV Guide Network at almost every show since season two, so it's refreshing. I've been busy but have all the shows TiVo'd and plan on catching up. I performed on Rachael Ray's show, and
J-Lo was the guest. I'm a huge fan of hers, so it was a pleasure, and being a massive Aerosmith fan, I hope to run into Steven Tyler.
Q: Were there any behind-the-scenes fights you recall?
A: My girl Trenyce and I would always go back and forth about the temperature in the house. I like it cold. But we're like sisters, and everyone in the house was super-close.
Q: Do you ever have weird fan encounters?
A: Yeah, a guy asked me to sign his belly button after peeing his pants in line to meet me. I didn't know whether I should feel flattered or not.
