It’s official — Miranda Kerr is no longer a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
“This is a natural evolution," she explains to the The Sydney Morning Herald. "The thing is, I've been modeling since I was 13. I'm now entering a new phase in my life.”
In fact, the stunning brunette reveals it’s motherhood that’s caused her to have a change of heart.
“I have felt this coming since my son was born and, after I became a mother, I realized I needed to prioritize my time," says Miranda, who welcomed son Flynn with hubby Orlando Bloom in 2011.
According to reports, the model was apparently not a big seller and had quite a difficult reputation — reports Miranda vehemently denies.
“I'm sure anyone that has worked with me would agree that it's not true,'' she says, adding, ”I'm just not in a position to commit to a full contract at this time. It's three months at a bare minimum."
But that doesn’t mean she’ll hang up her angel wings forever – Miranda told The Sydney Morning Herald that she’s already accepted the invitation to walk in the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Miranda joins the likes of Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Gisele Bündchen, who have all worked for and parted ways with the world-famous lingerie brand.
And with an alumni like that, it’s safe to say her career is far from over.
