As mom-of-six Angelina Jolie continues to shoulder the strain of her divorce and custody battle with Brad Pitt, she hasn’t pumped the brakes on her career. And now friends fear it’s all too much for Angie, 42. “Everyone’s afraid that Angie is headed toward a complete physical meltdown,” a source exclusively tells Life & Style.

Pals have urged her to slow down, but that’s not her style. In fact, Angie’s piling on the work, signing on to Maleficent 2 and The One and Only Ivan. And as Life & Style has reported, she’s also campaigning hard to star in and direct a biopic on wildlife conservationist Jane Goodall. “She feels like she needs to be everything to everyone,” notes the source, “a full-time mom, human rights activist, UN spokesperson, glamorous actress, director, and producer.”

There are already a few red flags that Angie’s overloading herself: She recently revealed that she suffered from hypertension and Bell’s palsy, a temporary facial paralysis, in 2016. “She hasn’t been eating enough or taking care of herself,” adds the source. “She’s been taking on too much at once, and everyone worries she’s headed for a serious breakdown.”

News of Angie’s friends’ fears comes just days after Life & Style exclusively revealed that the Academy Award-winning actress was planning to bar her kids — Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — from spending Christmas or New Year’s Eve with their father, Brad, 54.

“Angie’s in the driver’s seat when it comes to getting the children for the holidays and she’s taking advantage of that,” the insider said. After Angie filed for divorce in 2016, the pair agreed to a temporary agreement that gave her primary custody of the kids — but Brad isn’t giving up. “He’s trying to play nice,” the insider added. “But every time he asks Angie for something concerning the kids, she shoots him down.”
