It’s official: Ariana Grande is back! The singer, who had been keeping a low-profile for months, made a surprise appearance during Kygo’s set at Coachella on April 20, performing her new single “No Tears Left to Cry” live for the first time, just hours after she released the music video.

The crowd went wild as Ariana took to the stage rocking her signature high ponytail along with a lavender crop top and skirt, matching fingerless gloves, knee-high boots, and a black fanny pack. The track is the first the 24-year-old singer has released since her Manchester concert in May 2017, where 22 people were killed and 500 were injured after a suicide bomber detonated an explosion in the foyer of the arena. The live performance is only her second this year, her first being at Washington DC’s March For Our Lives rally on March 24.

Besides belting out her new single, Ariana also sang a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” alongside Kygo. After the show, the star shared a few behind-the-scenes Instagrams, including photos with her mom and her boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, who also showed his support for the superstar by tweeting, “Very proud of this girl right here. Welcome back. We missed you. One of a kind.”

The response to Ariana’s uplifting tune has been overwhelmingly positive. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have no idea where to start or what to say. I’m so unimaginably grateful for your love, warmth and kindness,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “I hope this song brings you light and comfort but also makes you wanna dance and live ya best life! I am so excited for this new chapter with you all. Thank you for this beautiful start.” Watch the video below to find out some surprising facts about Ariana!
