It looked like Lauren Burnham's fairytale ending came to an end when Arie Luyendyk Jr. chose Becca Kufrin over the shy blonde beauty on The Bachelor finale. However, in a plot twist that everyone saw coming (seriously, the only person blindsided by this was Becca), the former race car driver had a change of heart and revealed he never stopped loving the runner-up.

"I go to bed and I think about Lauren and I wake up and think about Lauren. She sees the fact that my mind’s somewhere else," Arie told cameras before ending his engagement to Becca in front of millions of viewers. "She knows that I think about Lauren. I thought the feelings of this breakup would go away but they didn’t. With Becca I just feel an immense amount of guilt — it’s not fair to her to be in a relationship where someone’s half in. I have to follow my heart. Just thinking about the possibility of something with Lauren is making me want to risk it all because I really feel like I made a mistake."

Since cameras stopped rolling, the 36-year-old has reconciled with Lauren — and Arie popped the question to the blonde beauty on the After the Finale Rose special!

"I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it… the good and bad," Arie said before getting down on one knee. "I wanted to do this front of everyone because I want to show what I should have done a long time ago. Lauren Elizabeth Burnham, will you marry me?" Of course, Lauren said yes — and the couple received a mild reception from the live studio audience, which included past contestants from Arie's season like Bekah M. and Caroline Lunny.

The quicky engagement is fueling a crazy conspiracy theory that Lauren B. is actually pregnant with Arie's child, which could explain his sudden change of heart. Past contestants have been very vocal about the lack of birth control in the Fantasy Suite, so this wouldn't be a huge surprise. However, the couple did not share any baby news — yet.
