In his first public appearance since announcing his split from wife Jenna Dewan Tatum, Channing Tatum was spotted hanging out with none other than The Bachelor himself — Arie Luyendyk Jr. The new BFFs spent the day together at the Honda Indy Grand Prix in Alabama, where Channing served as the grand marshal.

“Such a great dude,” Arie captioned a photo of the pair, before adding, “Fun meeting @channingtatum and getting to lead the field to green in the @Honda IndyCar.” Channing returned the social media love, writing on Twitter, “Crazy fast couple laps in the rain!! Thanks @ariejr! And what an incredibly beautiful track Mr. Barber. Can’t wait to come back here and rip some hot laps.”

Arie also made sure to get some brownie points from fianceé Lauren Burnham and had the Magic Mike star record a message to his bride to be. “What’s up Lauren,” Channing said in a video. “I’m about to do something stupid.” As expected, this new unexpected bromance has Bachelor Nation convinced that the newly single actor should be the next to hand out roses on the reality dating competition.

Wait @channingtatum and @ariejr are hanging out? So does that mean Channing can be the next Bachelor orrrrr?” one fans asked before another agreed, adding, “Channing Tatum for Bachelor 2019.” However, some were more concerned about Channing’s decision to socialize with the disgraced reality star. “So not only does Channing Tatum separate for Jenna Dewan but he’s hanging out with Arie from The Bachelor? Terrible decisions just keep coming.”

Channing and Jenna announced their split earlier this month after nearly nine years of marriage. “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple,” the couple wrote in a statement. “Love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on separate paths for now.” The pair insisted that there was nothing salacious or secret about the split, just “two best friends realizing that it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”
