In an interview with In Touch, Giustina Lee, 29, a law student who dated The Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. on-and-off from August 2013 to August 2017, dropped two bombshells: They hooked up right before he was named the Bachelor, and he’s called her since the show wrapped!

During the weekend of Aug. 12, less than a month before he was announced as the new lead, Arie, 36, visited Giustina at her home in Las Vegas. “It was a good time. We went to dinner with my mom and my roommate, and we were just cuddling and winking at each other, and touching thighs underneath the tablecloth,” she said, claiming the pair also slept together during the visit.

Giustina told In Touch she was surprised to find out from her mom that he had been named the next Bachelor. “I unfollowed him on social media and blocked him on my Instagram,” she revealed.

In late December, a month after The Bachelor finished filming, Giustina got an unexpected phone call. It was Arie. “I was so pissed off, so of course I didn’t answer,” she told the mag. “I almost called him back, but I just ignored it.”

Not long after, Arie ran into her parents. “He was like, ‘I’m so sorry, I think she’s mad. I hope she’s OK,’” Giustina explained. “He also made a comment to my parents, saying, ‘I really wish she [had] showed up.’ I don’t know if he wanted me to show up [on The Bachelor to] add drama or because he wanted to marry me. I don’t know. We’ll never know.”

Giustina believes the former race car driver is in it for the fame. “Arie has a problem. I think he is confused [about what] true love is,” she shared. “I’ve seen clips, and [the show] seems so fake [too]! It’ll never last.”
