It would seem Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are not paying attention to all the drama surrounding their engagement — because the Bachelor couple is already planning their wedding. While an official date has yet to be announced (we'll keep you posted), Arie and Lauren have confirmed that they will be tying the knot in 2018.
"We’ve already been planning it, even before the engagement,” the pair told People magazine following Arie's proposal at the After the Final Rose special. "We want to do it quickly!" They also confirmed that they would consider a televised wedding.

It shouldn't come as a huge surprise that cameras would capture Arie's vows, especially after he filmed his breakup with Becca Kufrin for the reality dating competition. "I really wanted everyone to know that this was on me," he said of his controversial decision. "This was my fault, and I felt like filming that would let people know that, that if there were any questions on the breakup, that those would be squashed if they saw the breakup."
He also went on to take credit for ABC naming Becca as the next Bachelorette, "And I wanted her that opportunity, honestly, I wanted her that opportunity to be the potential Bachelorette," he added. "I hope I gave her that closure. I’m very happy for her. I’m happy that she’s going to be able to find her true love through the show." We're ready for Arie to leave the country for a little bit...
Weddings aside, Arie and Lauren are ignoring the haters and ready to just live their lives. "We don’t really care what anyone else has to say about it," Lauren said before Arie added, "Love is not always perfect,” he says. “Everyone finds each other in a different way. It’s not always a fairy tale, but as long as Lauren and I have each other, we’re happy." Congrat, we guess.
