‘Bachelor’ Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell Call Wedding Off Following Their Show’s Dismal Ratings!

Life & Style has exclusively learned that former Bachelor Ben Higgins and his fiancée, Lauren Bushnell, have called off their wedding.

An insider reveals that the couple were bickering for months, but Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After's dismal ratings (a paltry 300,000 viewers an episode) were the final blow to their faltering love.

“They were banking on it being a huge hit and it completely flopped,” says the insider. “After that, Lauren told Ben she’d had it with their relationship.”

“They hoped the show would be a massive opportunity to cash in,” the insider explains. But the reality series, which premiered on Freeform in October, flopped, and though no official announcement has been made, it hasn’t been renewed.

The insider also reveals that Lauren was the one who called it quits, adding the couple will officially split once the season of their Bachelor spin-off is over.

But she’s not in mourning about the failed engagement. “Lauren wishes she could have found her happily ever after,” the insider notes, “but she’s thankful she didn’t air a fake wedding to the whole world.”
