‘Bachelorette’ Trista Sutter Shares Where She Thinks Most Couples Go Wrong After the Show (EXCLUSIVE)
#RelationshipGoals! Trista and Ryan Sutter met and fell in love on the first season of The Bachelorette in 2003, and they’re still going strong. In an interview with Life & Style, Trista shares their secret to avoiding the Bachelor curse that’s split up so many of their successors.
Trista admits that she thinks couples get swept away by all the opportunities that come after the show ends. “The things that come afterward — like you’re on Ellen [DeGeneres] and Oprah [Winfrey] and Dancing With the Stars — enjoy it,” the 45-year-old says, “but make sure your relationship is a priority.”
She continued, “It’s important in any relationship to make each other feel like the priority, and you are thinking of them and they are important to you — even if you have been married for almost 14 years like we have!”
