For the fourth season of The Voice, the show's resident makeup artist and hairstylist, Darcy Gilmore and Shawn Finch, will share with Life & Style readers how they created the hottest look of the performance night. This week, Top 5 contestant Danielle Bradbery showed off a very mature look. Check out how to get it below!
At only 16-years-old, Danielle Bradbery is the youngest contestant on The Voice this season. Week after week, she impresses both the audience and the coaching panel – especially her mentor Blake Shelton.
Last night, Usher summed up her performance of Tim McGraw’s “Please Remember Me” with one word: “amazeballs.”
The young beauty wowed yet again when she sang Jessica Andrews’ “Who I Am.”
“You don’t have any weaknesses in your singing. How is that possible?” Blake questioned the teen.
Aside from her obvious vocal talents, Danielle looked gorgeous on stage last night — all with some help from Shawn and Sherri Simmons, who applied Danielle’s makeup this week instead of Darcy.
HAIR1) Take a center section of hair by parting it from the left temple heading straight to the back.2) Take the same parting from the right temple back, and tease that section at the roots. Clip it on top of the head.3) Take the left side of the hair and French braid that section on a horizontal line starting from the frame of the face and ending at the upper crown of the back of the head. Secure the braid ends with a small rubber band. Repeat this step on the right side of the head.4) Take the teased top hair and smooth it out, but leave the volume and secure it with a barrette at the back crown of the head just above the two French braids.5) Take the bottom hair and brush it up high to add to your secured, teased top hair and your two braids. Add them all together and put in place with a regular hair band at the base.7) Once the hair is all bundled together at the top, undo the remaining braids that extend from the rubber band base. Flat iron the now collected ponytail to make it controlled and shiny.MAKEUP1) Prime with L’Oreal’s Studio Secret Magic perfecting base. Danielle’s foundation color was MakeUp Forever HD #117 pressed into the skin over the primer, then set with no color powder. That’s so it won’t move or transfer. *NOTE: Pick the color that best suits your skin tone.2) Add a touch of MakeUp Forever matte bronzer in #20 to warm up as a contour in strategic areas.3) For the smoky, glittery eyes, combine a bronze, slightly mauve shadow to accentuate the eyes. Danielle has teal, so this complemented her perfectly.4) Use MakeUp Forever aqua eyes pencil in dark chocolate brown, blended, on the upper and lower lash lines.5) Apply flirty D-Wispies lashes cut to fit the eye and finish with MakeUp Forever smoky lash mascara. Use Anastasia brow powder in the appropriate color for your skin tone — for Danielle, it was blonde. Put this on the eyebrows to frame the eye and seal it with MakeUp Forever brow sealer.6) For blush, apply Pink Swoon by MAC Cosmetics to the apples of the cheeks. Use a beauty power to dust slightly across cheeks to highlight them.7) Lip color is MAC lipstick in Crème Cup with MAC Love Alert Dazzleglass for a touch of glass.8) Combine Carlene K bronzer with MakeUp Forever face and body #20 and apply on legs for color and sheen. Fun fact: This is an absolute must on every artist singing on The Voice! The body makeup is custom-blended for each individual.
But will Danielle sing again next week? See if she makes it through on The Voice tonight, airing at 8 p.m. on NBC.
