The stakes are high this week! The people in the bottom two will have a dance battle, and the judges will save one couple. So we all have to have another dance prepared. Jaleel White and I have rehearsed one a little bit, but we're trying to focus on the first dance tonight so we don't have worry about doing another one tomorrow! We'll just have to concentrate really hard on our samba tonight to be sure we're not in the bottom two on Tuesday. Everyone is doing Latin-themed songs, so it's going to be very colorful and bright. I really like this dance, and it really suits Jaleel.
I can give you one little teaser for tonight -- Jaleel will be showing a lot more skin than ever before! After doing the show this long, he says he's in the best shape he's been in since college. I think he feels very confident taking his shirt off. [Editors note: Jaleel recently Tweeted that he's lost 13 pounds!]
Last week we did the tango to the Rolling Stones' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." It was a trying to make a tango suitable to a rock song, but I think it ended up working really well. The judges seemed to like what we did. We didn't get the best score [8-7-7 for a total of 22], but we were safe. I think Jaleel is a Mick Jagger fan now!
The elimination was such a shock, with Sherri Shepherd and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, leaving. I thought she'd be around for a long time! It really proves that it could be anybody leaving this week. I felt so bad for Sherri because she was having so much fun. She was really sad to leave. She has a great outlook, though. She's a great woman and will be missed.

Melissa Gilbert is much better [after an injury on last week's show that sent her to the hospital with a minor concussion]. I think she's rehearsing in a neck brace, but that's just a precaution. I think she'll be back on the dance floor giving it her all tonight!

This past weekend I went to Vegas to see the opening of Dancing With the Stars: Live in Las Vegas. Carson Kressley is the host, and Joey Fatone does a bit of hosting, too. They're just amazing together! It's a really, really good show. I quickly took a flight out Friday afternoon with Cheryl [Burke], got there to see the show and flew back on Saturday morning. I had to get back for rehearsals!
Practice has been going so good this week. Jaleel says I'm going to throw out his hips because I'm making him move them so much! He's naturally very rhythmical; you're going to see a lot of booty shaking tonight -- I can't wait!
