Some fans were upset that ‘N Sync only reunited for a couple minutes at the VMAs — and so were the Backstreet Boys.
Life & Style chatted with Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough at the Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama event in LA on Thursday — and they shared how they felt about their onetime rivals’ number.
“We were a little down,” Nick told Life & Style. “Seriously — cause we thought there was a reunion happening!”
On Aug. 25, Justin Timberlake was presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award for his success as a solo artist. During his 15-minute — and amazing — performance, his former band mates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick joined him on stage for a quick reunion.

While Kevin says he didn’t see it, AJ had only nice things to say about the guys.
“Lance killed it, Justin killed it – they all did really good,” he said.
But he doubts the two groups will ever hit the same stage together. “It was kind of like a one time thing for all the fans,” he shared. “It was a nice gesture for all the die hard fans, but I guess there won’t be any Backstreet/’N Sync tours happening soon.”
Though it’s unlikely all of the guys will tour together, some of them may consider it!
In July, Brian addressed rumors that ‘N Sync’s Lance and Joey wanted to join BSB after their group disbanded.
