Has Bella Hadid lost too much weight?
The 20-year-old shared several bikini shots to Instagram on Sunday, April 2 — yet fans couldn’t help but notice that the model’s ribcage was clearly visible in the posts.
“She looks dead,” one follower wrote, while another said, “Oh my gosh this is NOT pretty!” One user went so far as to suggest that “Someone sponsor her McDonalds,” while another commented, “So beautiful but so sad...way too skinny. I sure hope no one has pursued dramatic weight loss to look like Bella.”
Just an hour later, the brunette bombshell, who’s vacationing in Mexico, put up another swimsuit pic that seemed to gain more favorable remarks from her 11.8 million followers.
Back in November, Bella admitted to shedding pounds for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “I really didn’t mean to [lose weight]. Like, I want boobs. I want my ass back,” she shared. “But it’s not my fault. My weight fluctuates and so does everybody’s and I think that if people are going to judge, that’s the worst you can possibly do because everybody is different.”
She explained that the weight came off after she switched up her diet and began an intense exercise regimen. “I worked out so hard and everybody is like, ‘Oh, she looks so skinny blah, blah, blah,'” she recalled to People magazine. “But I think that if you just stick to something you can really achieve so much. I’ve been eating hard protein every day, and working out for three hours every day. It’s crazy but I think that you know if you set your mind to something I think you can succeed.”
Bella added, “It’s crazy because I think that when other people look at all of the VS models… they’re like, ‘They’re not human. They don’t have any insecurities.’ But I think every single girl [who’s] going to be walking [in the show] probably has an insecurity.”
