Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez prove that exes can maintain a friendship. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ben reveals he still keeps in touch with his former fiancée.“We don't have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice,” the Argo star says, "but we do have the kind of relationship where there'll be an e-mail saying, 'Oh, your movie looks great.’”“I touch base,” he adds. “I respect her. I like her.”In fact, Ben, who dated Jen from 2002 to 2004, says he congratulated her as soon as he found out about her joining American Idol as a judge in 2010 (she left the series earlier this year).“I remember when she got American Idol,” he recalls. “I said, ‘This was really smart. Good luck.’”So is there any ill will toward his former flame? None.“She’s put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I’m really pleased to see her successful,” says Ben, who co-starred with Jen in the 2003 bomb Gigli.Since their relationship went kaput, both stars’ lives have changed dramatically.Ben’s been married to actress Jennifer Garner since 2005; the couple have three children, daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3, and 7-month-old son Samuel. Jennifer wed singer Marc Anthony in 2004 and four years later the couple, who separated in July 2011, welcomed twins Max and Emme.
