Bethenny Frankel Claims She Dated Meghan Markle’s Ex Before Her Engagement to Prince Harry
What do a reality star and princess-to-be have in common? Well, according to Bethenny Frankel, she is just one degree of separation from Meghan Markle. The Real Housewives of New York City star revealed she dated Meghan’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson before her engagement to Prince Harry.
However, the couple never got serious because of his resemblance to her own ex-husband Jason Hoppy. “He lives in Los Angeles, and I live in New York,” Bethenny said on the Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O, according to Radar Online. “We haven’t slept together, we haven’t hooked up… I don’t know, I haven’t thought about it. He looks a little like my ex which scares me.” Instead, Bethenny, 47, and 41-year-old film producer are teaming up on a new TV show.
“[He] pitched me a TV show idea to produce together, about a bunch of businesswomen, which I think we are going to do together,” the Skinny Girl entrepeneur added. “There is something there. Something salacious about doing a TV project with Meghan Markle’s ex. I like it, there is a little sizzle there. I can make chicken salad out of that chicken s–t for sure.”
At the time, Bethenny revealed that Trevor described Meghan as “this girl… from the TV show, Suits.” Six months later she was engaged to the British royal. “I’m like, “Holy s—t, your ex is going to be a princess! Is that crazy?” Unfortunately, she did not share Trevor’s response. As a reminder, Trevor was married to Meghan, 36, for two years before calling it quits in 2013.
It was also previously reported that Trevor was offered $1 million to write a tell-all book about his relationship with the actress. “Trevor has remained tight-lipped until now, despite numerous cash offers being on the table,” a source shared. “But now he’s been tempted to open up about what he calls ‘years of hell'” a source told Women’s Day. We wonder if Bethenny and Trevor will be watching the royal wedding together?
