Many Breaking Bad viewers noticed that star Anna Gunn, who played Bryan Cranston's character's wife, experienced a shocking weight gain during the final season of the show.

Anna, who won an Emmy for her role as Skyler White, reveals what was behind her dramatic body transformation. "I was actually ill while I was filming the show, and it affected my weight," she explains, adding that a round of cortisone treatments made her puff up, and then going off the meds made her lose weight. "Now I'm better, thank God," she adds.

Now that she's feeling better, Anna says she chooses more traditional ways to get healthy and in shape. She credits Pilates and motherhood–"I run around after two kids!"–to helping her stay fit.

Since Breaking Bad went off the air earlier this year, Anna has already signed up another big role. She has signed on to play the female lead in Gracepoint, an American adaptation of the hit British series Broadchurch. She will play a police detective who investigates the murder of her close friend's son. Her costar will be Scottish actor David Tennant, who played the same role as the female detective's boss in the UK version.
